Wi-Fi Calling
Wi-Fi Calling improves your coverage and allows you to make phone calls and send messages over an available Wi-Fi network. For billing and other details, read about Wi-Fi Calling.
When the Wi-Fi Calling feature is turned on, your phone displays the Wi-Fi Calling icon on the Notification bar. To make a Wi-Fi call, you must be within range of a Wi-Fi network. If you move outside the range of the Wi-Fi network, the phone will make an audible beep and then the call will drop.
To turn on Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Calling:
- From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Wireless & networks.
- Tap Wi-Fi settings.
- Tap the Wi-Fi check box to turn on Wi-Fi, if necessary.
- Tap to select the desired network.
- Enter the password, if necessary.
- Tap Connect.
- From any Home screen, tap the Menukey.

Set Connection Preference
To set the connection preference to Wi-Fi or cellular, follow these steps:

- Tap the Wi-Fi Calling check box to turn on Wi-Fi Calling, if necessary.
- Tap Wi-Fi Calling Settings.
- Tap Connection Preferences.
- Select one of the following options:
- Wi-Fi Preferred: All calls are made over an available Wi-Fi network. If there are no available Wi-Fi networks, then calls are made over the cellular network.
- Wi-Fi Only: All calls are made over a Wi-Fi network. If there are no available Wi-Fi networks, phone calls will not connect.
- Cellular Preferred: All calls are made over the cellular network. If the cellular network is not available, then calls are made over an available Wi-Fi network.
- Tap OK.
Wi-Fi Sharing (Android 2.2)
Your device can share its mobile data connection with up to five devices at once via Wi-Fi Sharing.
To use Wi-Fi Sharing, your unlimited data plan must include the Tethering and Wi-Fi Sharing add-on feature.

- Enter the name for the SSID
- Select and Tap WPA2.
- Tap the Password field.
- Enter your password.

Connect Using Wi-Fi Sharing (Android 2.2)
To connect a Wi-Fi mobile hotspot, follow these steps:
Note: When your device is serving as a Wi-Fi hotspot, you cannot access the Internet via its Wi-Fi connection.
- From the Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
- Tap 3G Mobile Hotspot.
- Tap the 3G Mobile Hotspot check box.
- Read the hotspot warning message.
- Tap OK.
- Enter the desired AP Settings.
- Enter Wireless password.
- Tap Save.
- If prompted read security warning, tap OK.
- From another device, connect to your device (SSID) using Wi-Fi sharing.
- Note: Your device’s default SSID is MB525.
